Winter Terror-- What!
Noon today. Winter's gone. It's balmy. Wish I could leave work for a run. Click to compare with this morning...
End of the World-Not
There's no school today due to wintery precipitation. I hesitate to call it snow, as the above picture will attest. Granted, this is the south and we like to think winter only effects yankees, but 10 years ago school wouldn't have been cancalled for this. It seems each year the world is becoming a little softer, a little weaker. We're starting to live our lives like headless chickens.
I know it's ice. It's navigable. Dangerous, yes, but it's not the end of the world. It's winter. It happens every year. Shouldn't we have learned to deal with it by now?

Thar's a New Cookie in Town
On my way to work this afternoon, my brother asked me to stop by Subway for him. No biggie, but it's almost impossible for me to get out of there cookie-free.
There's a new cookie: Raspberry Cheesecake!
It tastes neither like cheesecake nor raspberries; it tastes like junk food heaven! It puts paid to the 'eat fresh' idea. Note the red bits and the white chocolate pieces. (No raspberries were harmed in the production of this cookie.) It's like Subway took a berry flavored muffin mix and turned it into a cookie. Which means I will have to try that-- soon. After the marathon. Until the marathon, I will not be stepping a foot into a Subway. Those cookies could quickly become an obsession.

Snack Time! Morning off time!
Since I had nothing else to do this morning (laundry, dishes, sweeping aside), I decided to watch some TV. And TV watching requires a snack. After last night's Superbowl induced debauchery I couldn't have the cheesecake I wanted. Okay, could have is a lie; I didn't have any cream cheese. With some ricotta, chocolate chips and an egg, I made a custard/cheesecake thingy. OMG! Delicious! ( Oops... meant to take a picture of that.) I'll get a picture of the next one! Love an experiment gone right! And less than 300 calories! Enough exclaimation points for now.
