Kinesio tape is amazing stuff. I wish I'd made this discovery 2 months ago when the heel spurs were really starting to bother me and everything thing on my left side was breaking down. While this technique won't do anything for the bone spurs, it is helping the plantar fasciitis. I'm going to see if my brother will let me try it on his foot as he's doing his first half-marathon this Sunday as I attempt my first marathon.
I first saw kinesio tape on an older gentleman a few races back. He had both legs and a shoulder covered in the stuff. He looked a bit Fankenstein-ish. I wish I'd taken a picture of it, but my curiosity was more car-wreck than scientific.
Today, I'd probably ask him about it. I have caught the running bug. And it gets worse each year.
